The Hunger Games **Spoilers Included!

As everyone obviously knows, The Hunger Games came out March 23. I saw it the day it came out, and it was nothing less than perfection. For those who have not read the books or seen the movie, The Hunger Games is years after North America has been destroyed. The Capitol is in charge of what's left of North America- a country called Panem. Panem is divided into twelve districts. Katniss Everdeen is from District 12 and is sixteen years old. Katniss hunts in the woods with her longtime friend, Gale where they receive the food for their families (a skill that becomes a great advantage in the Games). On the day of the Reaping- (The Reaping is the day when one male and one female are chosen from each district to compete in the Games) Katniss sister is chosen to compete in the Games when Katniss volunteers for her very young sister, Primrose.
The Games are gruesome and brutal, where all twenty-four players, or tributes, are forced to fight each other to the death in an area staged by the 'Gamemakers' and is broad casted on national television. Katniss faces many obstacles and problems throughout this experience, as well as her fellow tribute Peeta who was chosen as the male from District 12. SPOILER... Peeta and Katniss may or may not develop feelings for each other... I'm not going to say anything else about movie details until a few more posts so you all have time to finish reading the book or watch the movie!
Many people have misconceptions about this book, being that teenagers are forced against their will to fight each other to death- and they're right. But this isn't the true meaning of the book in my opinion. I believe it's supposed to ensure that with hope and confidence in yourself, you can accomplish anything- even if something is not in your odds.

Peyton Manning... Going to be a Bronco?!

*Disclaimer- Some of you may not like football or Tim Tebow or even the Denver Broncos, but I am doing this post regardless of "hater's" opinions or people who may not follow the same views as me. But if you do want to read, I hope you enjoy! (:

So, as some of you may know, Peyton Manning was cut from the Colts recently.
Many teams are interested in signing him for the 2012 NFL season, one being my favorite team... The Denver Broncos.
You may be thinking, "why wouldn't she want such an outstanding quarterback to play for her favorite team?" And I'll say, Peyton Manning is a phenominal quarterback. But, Denver betrayed their current quarterback (and my favorite player) Tim Tebow.
To those unfamiliar with Tebow's career, he has had two years of experience in the NFL since coming out of The University of Florida. Since then he has scored twelve NFL touchdowns as a quarterback and brought the Denver Broncos to the Playoffs in 2011.
What makes me mad is that Denver had already named Tebow their starting quarterback and had made it very, very clear that they had made no plans to change that status. What, now they jump at the chance to get another quarterback to replace one that did a good job?
Some may feel this is a good decision for Denver, but I don't see it that way. I think Denver is making a big mistake disowning Tim like this. And even if Denver doesn't sign Manning, I think Tebow should play for another team that fully appreciates his ability and can help him gain more experience and skills as a quarterback.

These are just my views on the current situation. Thanks for reading! Tell me your opinions in a comment!
